June and Ian recently took part in another All Ability Cycling session with Live Active at North Inch, Perth. The session gave them the opportunity to enjoy cycling outdoors on wheelchair-accessible bikes, taking in the surroundings while travelling around the Inch and making the most of this glorious sunshine.

After their cycle, June and Ian spent time relaxing together with a picnic, making the most of the pleasant day and the chance to enjoy the outdoors. The visit was made even better with a stop at the ice cream van, where they treated themselves to a delicious ice cream.

The session provided a great mix of activity and social time, with the accessible bikes helping make cycling an enjoyable experience for everyone involved. It was a chance to get outside and spend time in good company.

June and Ian enjoyed their visit to North Inch and are already looking forward to returning for another All Ability Cycling session with Live Active. The day was a reminder of how accessible activities can create opportunities for people to take part, have fun, and enjoy shared experiences in the community. In addition, research published in The Lancet Healthy Longevity found that exercise can help improve physical function in older adults living in residential care, supporting areas such as strength, balance, mobility and independence.
