We are very grateful for the kind donation of a lovely garden bench in memory of former resident Eddie Hannigan. The bench is a thoughtful addition to our garden, providing a comfortable place for residents, families and visitors to sit together, relax and enjoy the outdoor space.

To mark the occasion, Eddie’s son and daughter, Colin and Heather, joined us for a special ceremony to officially open the bench. They cut the green Craigieknowes ribbon, marking the moment the bench was formally declared open. Also joining Colin and Heather were Donna Chambers, Clinical Lead, and Maggie Lamb, Senior Care Assistant. Both Donna and Maggie were closely involved in Eddie’s care and were members of staff he was particularly fond of, making their presence at the occasion especially meaningful.

Following the ceremony, everyone gathered together to enjoy tea, coffee and cakes. It was a lovely opportunity for residents, staff and guests to spend time together and reflect on the occasion. We would like to thank Colin and Heather for the generous donation and for helping us create a lasting and meaningful addition to our garden in Eddie’s memory. The bench will provide a welcoming place for residents and their families to enjoy for years to come.

Keep up to date with our news and events at Craigieknowes Care Home.
